In this research project called: “TRAFFIC STUDY OF THE AVENUE SANCHEZ CARRION TABLE 13 OF THE EL PORVENIR DISTRICT” According to the MTC norm, Province of Trujillo and La Libertad Region - 2019 has as a problem the lack of information such as that of a study of traffic with the purpose of projecting in the improvement and maintenance of Sánchez Carrión Avenue, one of the main avenues of the El Porvenir District. Which aims to study the current traffic and projection to 20 years for improvement, according to the condition rating of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, and whose specific objectives are: Determine the results of vehicle counts, Determine the classification of the vehicle media and analyze the results of the origin - destination survey, evaluate the results of the projection study at 20 years of traffic. An applied descriptive investigation, non-experimental longitudinal type design and quantitative approach was performed. The main results were: • The IMDA calculated on the avenue is 11,166 vehicles per day, consisting of 99.2% light vehicles and 0.8% heavy vehicles, traffic volume and vehicle composition, is basically light vehicles. • It was determined that Sánchez Carrión Avenue is considered as a collecting avenue of the developing sectors of the El Porvenir district, towards different points of the center such as: La Hermelinda, Wholesale, Av. América, different shopping centers and Study Centers. the Province of Trujillo. • In the research work the projected vehicular volume at 20 years is estimated (current study = 2019, theoretical estimate = 2039) for the avenue taking into account the current characteristics, as a result the year 2039 the volume exceeds 14,384 vehicles per day. The present traffic study belongs to the definitive Engineering for Sánchez Carrión avenue block 13 and with it it is intended to establish the traffic parameters required to define an ideal improvement, the report describes the methodological aspects, estimation models, the projections of Transit and conclusions.
