The present investigation is carried out in the city of Jaén, department of Cajamarca to present the theoretical bases where it is proposed to propose the best alternative between a flexible or rigid pavement, and in this way improve the passability in the Antisuyo street.
For the design of a rigid or flexible pavement one has to resort to bibliographic sources such as the AASHTO93 standard, observation guides and forms that help us to have information about the soil, the traffic and the state of roads, these data will be processed using manuals of the MTC and the aforementioned norm, with the information obtained from this research it will be possible to establish the Theoretical Bases of Design of rigid or flexible pavements that will be applied in the field and thus fulfill our objective of verifying the impact of a paving design in the improvement of passability.
